Location: Veterinær Akademiet Vest, Solbakken 26, 6500 Vojens
This one-day course is for everyone who would like to develop or strengthen their skills in CT image interpretation in small animal practice. No previous experience with CT interpretation is required, as the course starts with the fundamental principles and gradually builds a structured approach to reviewing and interpreting CT studies.
How do you review a CT study systematically? Which window settings and image planes should you use? And how can you distinguish normal anatomy from clinically relevant changes?
The course combines theory, case discussions and interactive image review sessions with a focus on CT anatomy, image interpretation and clinical decision-making. You will gain practical tools and a structured approach that can be applied directly when reviewing CT studies in both general and referral practice.
Throughout the day, you will work with clinical cases covering body regions commonly examined in small animal practice, including the skull and brain, elbow and spine, thorax and abdomen. The course also includes a mixed case challenge, allowing you to apply your new knowledge and systematic approach across different types of CT examinations.
There will be plenty of opportunity for questions, professional discussion and exchange of experiences with both the lecturer and fellow participants.
Join us for an inspiring day focused on practical CT interpretation skills that can be implemented immediately to improve diagnostic confidence and clinical decision-making in your practice.
The course is taught by Lisa Friling, a European Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging and founder of VetAcad. Lisa has extensive experience in CT, MRI and radiography and works clinically with diagnostic imaging and teleradiology.
