Location: Veterinær Akademiet Vest, Solbakken 26, 6500 Vojens
This one-day course is for everyone who works with computed tomography (CT) in veterinary practice and would like to strengthen their knowledge of CT protocols, patient positioning and image quality. Whether you operate CT equipment, prepare patients or assist with examinations, the course will provide a deeper understanding of how each step influences the diagnostic value of the images.
Which protocol should you choose for a specific clinical indication? How do you position the patient correctly in the CT cradle? And what can you do when artefacts or image quality issues occur?
The course combines theory, case discussions and practical exercises with a focus on CT technology, patient preparation, positioning and troubleshooting. You will gain practical knowledge and techniques that can be applied directly in your daily work with CT.
The practical session will provide hands-on experience with patient positioning using CT cradles and other positioning aids. You will also gain insight into what veterinarians look for when interpreting CT images, helping you understand why accurate positioning and optimal image quality are essential for successful diagnostics.
There will be plenty of opportunity for questions, professional discussion and exchange of experiences with both the lecturer and fellow participants.
Join us for an inspiring day focused on practical CT skills that can be implemented immediately to improve workflow, image quality and diagnostic confidence in your clinic.
The course is taught by Lisa Friling, a European Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging and founder of VetAcad. Lisa has extensive experience in CT, MRI and radiography and works clinically with diagnostic imaging and teleradiology.
