Equine Neurology

This course offers a thorough exploration of equine neurology, tailored for veterinarians aiming to strengthen their diagnostic and therapeutic skills in treating neurological disorders in horses.

Participants will learn to identify and localize common neurological lesions, classify their severity, and develop effective diagnostic strategies.

Emphasis is placed on recognizing clinical signs of neurological conditions, understanding different types of ataxia, and selecting the most appropriate diagnostic tools for specific cases.

The course will also address therapeutic options for managing various neurological issues in horses, providing a comprehensive foundation for practical application in clinical practice.

The course is taught in English and is intended for veterinarians only.

• Localize typical neurological lesions in horses to determine the origin and extent of the problem
• Classify neurological lesions based on their extension and diffusion to refine diagnosis and treatment planning
• Recognize and interpret clinical signs in neurological patients to facilitate early detection and intervention
