This course prepares you to independently perform the most commonly encountered operations in out of hours service.
After the course, you will feel more confident in the emergency situations you may encounter when you are alone on call.
Through theoretical review followed by practical exercises, the following procedures are learned:
- Pyometra
- Caesarean section
- Enucleation
- Splenectomy
- Cystotomy
- Abdominal rotation
- Gastrotomy
- Partial gastrectomy
- Enterotomy
- Enterectomy
- Chest tube insertion
- Treatment of large wounds and tendon injuries
- Stabilisation of acute patients
- Multi-modal analgesia
